Getting paid

How customers pay, when you're paid, and your payout account.

How do payments and payouts work for my store?

Customers pay FelbaStore by card or M-Pesa through Paystack. We hold the money until the order is delivered and the return period has ended, then pay your share every Monday — sometimes sooner.

When a customer orders from your store, they pay online by card or M-Pesa on Paystack's secure page. FelbaStore runs checkout for every store, so you don't set up payment methods yourself.

We hold the payment until the order has been delivered and the return period has ended with no return open. This protects you and your customers if an order is cancelled or returned.

Your share is the order value minus FelbaStore's commission and fees. It is paid every Monday to the M-Pesa number or bank account in your payout details, and sometimes sooner.

If what you're owed on a Monday is below the minimum payout (currently KES 1,000), it carries over to the next week.

How do I set or change where I get paid?

Go to Settings → Profile in your vendor dashboard and enter your payout method (M-Pesa or bank) and account. Payouts go to that account.

In your vendor dashboard, open Settings, then the Profile tab. Choose M-Pesa or bank transfer as your payout method and enter the number or account, then save. You can also set your payout account under Payout preferences.

Use an M-Pesa number or bank account registered in your name or your business's name. If a payout can't be delivered to your account, the amount goes back to your balance — correct your details and it is paid in the next payout.

Why haven't I been paid for an order yet?

Usually because the order isn't final yet, your balance is below the minimum payout, your store isn't verified, or your payout details are missing.

An order is paid out only once it is final: delivered, the return period has ended, and no return is open. Until then the money is held.

Amounts below the minimum payout (currently KES 1,000) carry over to the next Monday.

Payouts are only sent to verified stores. If your store isn't verified yet, complete verification in your dashboard.

Check that your payout method and account are saved under Settings → Profile. If a payout failed, the amount is back in your balance and goes out in the next payout once your details are correct.

If all of this looks right and you still haven't been paid, contact support with the order number.

How am I paid for services, digital products and memberships?

The customer pays online when they order or book. Once you've delivered — sent the file or access, or completed the appointment — mark it in your dashboard; you're paid after the return period, on the usual Monday payout.

Customers pay by card or M-Pesa through Paystack, the same as for physical products. For a service, booking a time slot holds it for a short while until the customer pays; if they don't pay, the slot is released.

There's nothing to ship, so you don't need a courier or tracking number. For a digital product or membership, send the file or access details to the customer, then mark the order delivered. For an appointment, mark the booking completed after it happens (or no-show if the customer didn't come).

Marking it delivered or completed starts the return period. After that, your share is paid out with your other earnings every Monday, sometimes sooner.

If you cancel a paid booking, the customer is refunded and nothing is paid out for it.

Can I choose which payment methods my store accepts?

No. FelbaStore sets how customers pay for every store. Today that is card or M-Pesa through Paystack.

Payment methods are the same for every store on FelbaStore, so customers get one consistent, secure checkout. You don't need to add or approve payment methods.

Cash on delivery isn't offered at the moment: every order is paid online before it ships, so you're never left chasing payment.
